There was an "administrative biography" of Joseph Smith, Jr., by Maurice Draper published by Herald House sometime in the early 1990s. (The Founding Prophet: An Administrative Biography of Joseph Smith, Jr.) It was part of a series of books on church presidents through Israel A. Smith. I have never read it.
