From Exodus:

...and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth. And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be. And the Lord did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies

And Jesus said,

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

In Romans, Chapter 16:

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

For threats and curses will always cause division, for division has to do with fear, and prejudice, and separation whereas love has to do with coming together, and people not wanting their own way.

Jesus is the way and the life, and none come that way but by him, thus, a creater of division among the people and in no way a spreader of love.

Threats and curses will never bring love to the people, nor comfort to their hearts. The Book is a book of threats and curses, all justified by twisted love. Sick love is not care, nor is it a comfort to my heart.
