In The Flesh Live Album / Video - and Other News!

Live In The Flesh Double Album!
According to indisputable sources in the Roger Waters camp, a Roger Waters live tour album will be released in the latter half of November 2000. It will be titled (what else) Roger Waters: "In The Flesh." It will be a double album, and will be an album of a complete show released in it's entirety! And though the album will be a double album, "it will not be (sold) at a double album price." Speaking of both the album and the video, our sources stated, "We're working on them furiously at this moment."

In The Flesh Video Announced!

According to extremely credible REG sources, the Roger Waters live tour video will be titled: Roger Waters: "In The Flesh" and will be released on DVD and VHS tape by the end of November 2000, "Around Thanksgiving," we were told. Speaking of both the album and video our contact said, "We're working on them furiously at this moment." The DVD will be the complete show of the Portland Oregon concert. However, it is not yet clear whether the VHS tape version will incorporate the entire show or only a majority of it.

Will Roger Tour the UK and Europe in 2001?

REG sources stated: "It's still very much in Roger's mind, and he's still very enthusiastic about doing it, but were waiting to see about the availability of certain musicians." At this time, no venues have been booked, but if the tour does go ahead, look to REG for itinerary information when it becomes available.

New Waters Solo Album

Roger Waters to continue work on his new solo album after the live tour album and video have been released, and on into the new year. REG was told that there is not yet any title or working title for the album. As to when it will be released, REG sources stated: "I think that a projected release date would be Spring 2002, although obviously we want to try to release it earlier if at all possible."

Ca Ira on back burner?

Because of the of In The Flesh 1999 and 2000 tours, work on the new Waters solo album and now work being done on the live album and video, work on CA Ira has been postponed. REG was told that "there is still a considerable amount of work to be done on Ca Ira." Asked about a release date for the Roger Waters opera, REG sources stated: "I think that there is a strong chance that Ca Ira will be released in the Autumn of 2001 ...it's not beyond the bounds of possibility".

The Wall Live in Berlin unlikely on DVD
Asked whether the video The Wall Live in Berlin, will ever be release on DVD, REG sources said: "It's unlikely, very possible but it's unlikely! As you know, Roger gave all the rights to The Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief for the video, so the rights rest with the charity, and Polygram Records of course."
