Well, My Mom never received a penny from my Dad, when I was born he was in Jail.. most of my life he was in Jail... he was never there to raise me or teach me things.. he forgot about his responsability to be a father and all he cared about was himself and doing coke.. and selling drugs and stealing stuff... you are right when you say it is the parents responsability to look out for the kids and provide for them... I dunno... I don't talk to my dad I did for a little while, but I quit... he tried, but its hard when you don't know someone... cuz I really don't know him.. but the child support thing...hmmm well, if he would have been paying it, it would have helped my mom out when she first moved us to Florida, because she was making minimum wage and trying to support a 9 year old and herself... of course my Grandparents helped out.. but the fact remains, my Dad was ordered by court to pay child support and he never did.. some states have that dead beat dad thing where they take away their drivers liscences... but I don't see the total effective ness of that... that makes it hard for them to go to work if they work... but I dunno... I believe that the child should be supported by both parents, it also depends on the situation.... I don't think I could have a child with someone and not love them and stay with them or help take care of it... its a human life, and your own flesh and blood... when people abandon kids or don't help out their babies mothers or fathers, it really turns my stomach...
