Subject: Thoughts on Fear, Politics, and Lord of the Rings

Just wanted to share a few brief thoughts on the above subject.

First on the subject of fear. I think some but not all fears are for a reason and that is why they are part of even some of our instincts. Many gut level fears are there to serve and protect us for a reason and we should pay attention to them and ask ourselves why we do. I think many forms of evil or people that wish to harm us would love to get us to not fear them and let our defenses down so that they can go right for the jugular.

On politics I will lesten to what people have to say including the facts they wish to deliver but also realize that their views and version of the facts are often biased . When it comes to the people that critisize Clinton and hold Gore responsible based on his "Moral" charachter alarm bells go off right away and I think to myself what hypocrytes. The dude is human and had an affair. Most of the men who have an affair in this country lie about it and its just the ones who get caught lying that we point fingers at ? If you say you have never lied about something you were ashamed of good for you but I am sure you have have some other dark shadows in your closet that someone could point fingers at if it was exposed. Plus I think overall he was a very good president and again when I hear someone totally attack him without any balance or mention of the positive things he did I automatically suspect their reason and facts they state for being against him are very much biased and probably portray a very innacurate picture.

The third thing is something for Steve. I went over to my sisters house to dogsit and guess what I found sitting out on her coffee table? The 3 books in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I decided to borrow them but who knows if I will be able to get through reading them with my ADD procrastination and focus problem with reading text in book format.
