Just because I would vote Democratic does not mean I or any other person voting Democratic is doing it out of blindness. Also the way I look at it is until the playing field is fair and opened up with campaign reform canges my vote would be wasted if I voted for a canidate outside of the two major parties. All that would result in is my vote helping the republcans win in november. Another thing is I agree with the Democratic platform more than I do any of the new alternative parties.

As far as you saying I can serve in the military anytime I wanted to please remember your own words to me about your belief and hope that I or any other person would not live their life denying who they are and living a lie. As it stand now and could only get worse under Republican leadership if I or any other gay person joined the miilitary we could only do so if we pretended to be straight . Even if I never said a word about my sexual orientation while serving and having to constantly lie to everyone including my new buds in the military I would still face the witch hunts that go on now more than ever . It's common knowlege that the harrasment and witch hunts are worse than ever if they even suspect someones orientation is gay and the ones in charge are letting it happen in defiance of any protection from the "Don't Ask" policy. That is not even mentioning the risk on my life involved in serving if someone through no fault of my own suspected my orientation was gay and bashed me to death. In past times and empires they encouraged and recrui ted homosexual love and bonding between soldiers knowing that the men in battle who loved each other on that level would fight and protect each other with greater intensity and more sucessful in battle. Now a days and in todays armed forces we have a bunch of guys who are courageous enough to risk their lives for their country and yet they fear and are terrified at the thought of another guy possibly loving them on a different level or the danger to them in their eyes if some guy checked out their pee pee in the showers.

Here you got these tough guys serving that are trained to deal with almost any situation and yet they act like cry babies and defensless stating their cohersion as a group would be threatend if they possibly thought one of them might look at them funny in the showers. Wow just think what might happen if an enemy in battle was smart enough to use our armed forces phobia against us as a secret weapon and planted secret openly gay acting double agents into our troops. Hey it just might work as the u.timate weapon if the fear of gays in our military scares and freaks out our troops like it seems to
