My parakeet is still standing solidly on both feet, now.

Strange how he doesn't even seem to notice the difference.

He had had a club foot for many many years. It would cause him to have to always stand upon his own toe all the time. He had hurt it by getting it stuck in one of the holes of a tea-ball house that used to hang from his ceiling.

He was having a very hard time getting around because his toenails had grown so long that I had decided finally to track him down and force the toenails to be cut. He was driven into the back room, where I caught him, and then carefully and kindly clipped his nails.

However, in his struggle not to have his nails cut, he caught the old toe again, which must have stretched it straight again.

Ever since that day he now has both feet under him, and stands normally. His flight is now perfect and strong.
