Physical Description: Roan is not much taller than average--thin but well-build all the same. Though he's not really athletic, he's still muscular and fit. His hair is a dark rusty red, his eyes are light bluish grey. His skin is tanned from hours in the sun. He always carries a satchel with him containing parchment, quill, and ink for writing. Oft times a small harp case acompanies his satchel. He's unskilled in weaponry, except in throwing daggers and knives. Because of this particular skill, Roan always has a few knives and daggers hidden about his person, as they are his only protection.

Personality:(I hope you don't mind that I'm putting his history in here as well.) Roan has always hated his real name. He's always felt that his aunt Beala and uncle Kinney were wrong in keeping the name when they took him in.
Of course Beala and Kinney weren't his real aunt and uncle--something that he learned when he was eight. And of course, they didn't name him in the first place. When the young couple had found a child and a note left near their cave, they had been astonished. The note had nothing more than a name on it: Donovan Kenneth Ronan. The Duncans took Donovan in and raised him, telling him that they were his aunt and uncle. The knowledge that they weren't didn't stop him from calling them Aunt Beala and Uncle Kinney, though. Anyway--he hated his name from the start, and insisted that he be called "Roan", taken from the "Ronan" part of his name.
Roan is a dreamer, an idealist. Quiet but passionate, Roan has always been a gentle boy, and is now becoming a gentle man. Often found alone in some secluded place, Roan finds escape from his world in the words he writes. He's never found without parchment and a pen, and he loves to write. He is also somewhat of a musician, and adores playing his little harp, writing songs as well as stories. He's kind and cheerful, focusing on the rose in life, and ignoring the thorns. He tries to make the best of every situation. He's curious about his heritage; where he came from and who his ancestors are.
