Subject: kernel boot error

when i try to boot the kernel 2.4.18, i got the following error

kmod : failed to exec /sbin/modproble -s -k ext3, errno = 2
kmod : failed to exec /sbin/modproble -s -k freeext3,errno=2
mount : error 19 mounting ext3
pivotroot : pivotroot(/sysroot , /sysroot/initrd) failed :2
umount /initrd/proc : failed 2
kernel panic : no init found. try passing init= option to kernel
