When trying to connect to the 686Core/Base development kit over COM1 (both eval board COM1 and PC Windows COM1) using ActiveSync, the Windows CE hangs. The last dialog up says:

Connecting to ConnForMsASync
User Authenticated
(Hide / Cancel)

The board is hung and takes no input. Reset doesn't reset it. I have to pull the power.

We were having a problem earlier where as soon as ActiveSync started, the 686 hung. So we added a 4.7nF cap between CTS and GND. That got us as far as the 'User Authenticated', but that is where we are now.

Any ideas?
