I am having trouble creating a file system on a partitioned nand chip. I have used fdisk 2.10m to create the partition. It detects the correct parameters for the chip and creates the partition, but I cannot create a ext3 or ext2 file system on it. I get the error:

mkfs.ext2: Attempt to write block from filesystem resulted in short write zeroing block 63168 at end of filesystem.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem.

Thanks, Derek
