Subject: Computer won't boot on the first try

I just added 128 more memory (now doubled), and, a new video card onto an HP 8660C (Win 98, second ed.). Now, when I go to start up, all I get is the blue HP screen and the short beep before it just sits there. It does no good to CntrAltDel, you must hit the on/off (which it does w/o the 5 second delay). It will usually start up fine on the second try. Any thoughts.
Thanks,
Jim
