Hi,
I recently obtained a 586BASE & CORE unit and i was able to successfully install the linux that is found on the Compulab website, however after about a weeks use it has begun to crash on boot, with a kernel panic, see below for more info on the error messages received.
I reformatedd the NAND and used a hard drive with MS-DOS 6.2 to reboot the system and run the linux install procedure again, however i still get the same problem, it will boot once then consistently fail, with the following error:

EXT3-fs: invalid journal inode.
General self-test: passed.
Serial sub-system self-test: passed.
Internal registers self-test: passed.
ROM checksum self-test: passed (0xd0a6c714).

EXT3-fs: INFO: recovery required on readonly filesystem.
EXT3-fs: write access will be enabled during recovery.

).
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0

Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on fe:00

Can anyone please suggest a work around or a fix, do i have to reformat the NOR and the NAND and reinstall the DOS image from the website or is this fixable some other way? (i.e. buy another card and chuck this out the window as it sounds like the NAND is corrupt in some way)

John
