We are using a 686Core on a board that we have designed and are unable to Boot to either a CRT/KBYD or a host via the COM 1 port. The 686Core is a good module since it boots when plugged into a 686Base Unit. One interesting characteristic when booting on the new board is that the Reset-Out signal is a 12ms pulse that occurs every 1.6s after power is applied. It appears as if the BIOS is operating since a burst of pulses on the BIOS EEPROM clock input occurs for the first 600us after power is applied. The Reset-In signal is pulled up to 3.3V. We are operating without a battery but the VCC-RTC is tied to 3.3VDC.
