A friend of mine got this virus, heres some tips on what to do:

DON'T try to completely eradicate the virus by deleting the scam32.exe file. This can cause more harm than necessary. If it's inside your recycle bin then leave it where it is and do the following:

Make sure Outlook or Outlook Express are not running and download a fix program from the major anti-virus manufacturers (symantec, trend or mcaffee). I used Trend's version and it works like a charm. It checked the whole harddrive, eliminated the virus AND put the registry back in working order without me having to do anything more. I can only guess that symantec's and mcaffee's versions work just as well.

Believe me, download the fix BEFORE you get the virus cos the lastest anti-virus program versions can't fix it on their own.

If you are REALLY paranoid about the virus sending copies of itself out while you're downloading the fix, then try getting a friend to download it for you (it's only about 66kb).
