Then steps over to a pile of shaken up hay (it's no longer in a bale). Pushing the top aside he reveals:

A gold decorated traveling saddle with small saphires and emerald embossed into it.

A gold and white saddle pad.

A matching gold halter embossed with designs, saphires and emeralds. On the browband there its a (tea plate size) gold plate, and in the center is a large emerald.

He lifts them out of the straw and hay. "I know they are a bit bright; probably not the best thing when you're worried 'bout bandits and the like but; it's good for racing and long hours of riding; really, it's downright useful."
