come away, come away In the beginning he had said, "Second star to the left, and straight on ‘til morning." "What a funny address." Wendy had replied, not quite understanding, but longing to grasp what this mysterious boy meant, she was thirteen years old that first time, and when he whispered "Wendy, one girl is more use than twenty boys." She was captured. Away Wendy Moira Angela Darling went to Neverland, a place she'd only dreamed of before this…She had many grand adventures year after year—perhaps you know the tales, so I'll not bore you with my recollections. But because Wendy Darling returned to 'time' now and then she got older and older every year, until she was seventeen, not quite a little girl anymore. She chose to remain in Neverland always, because she'd given her kiss to Peter, and could never leave him behind. Peter longed to be like Wendy, he hated to be but a child, because as a child he wanted just what every other child possessed… So with a little pixie dust, and a great deal of wishing, he became a young man, to remain so forever. Childhood virtue has faded a little in Neverland, as one might guess it would when many who are 'lost' there are just below the age of eighteen. The story continues, a little distorted perhaps, twisted by the reality that had been mingled in it by means of some pixie dust and wishing… Is your viridity fading?
