**Nightmarten leaps back as the shield is pushed at him, he steps into the inner swing of the spear, away from the spear point. He hacks down in a severing blow with one short sword at Brushfire's arm before he is battered to the side by the haft of the approaching spear. He stands up shakily, both his short swords raised.
Shadowmarten drops to the ground as the shield flies overhead, as soon as he opens his eyes the badger is leaping at him. He is caught off guard, instinctively throwing himself back he is not fast enough and the spear runs right through his shoulder. He screams as it is pulled back and he falls half forward before the spear handle smashes the side of his head. The pine marten falls limply to the side, the head injury proving fatal.** (NT) -- Nightmarten and Shadowmarten, 20:01:13 06/25/01 Mon
