Subject: Training

Today I worked on our dressage as a team. It's obvious he has a lot of dressage training but as a team we need work. I'm still adjusting to him.
Today we worked on our dressage for an hour then I worked on striding. I set poles up for collected trot, went over them several times, then I went over another set that were made for working trot, then I went over the final poles that were made for extended trot. He performed excellently. When we were done the trotting excercises I walked him out and turned him loose in the arena.
While he was running free I changed all the poles for cantering excercises, collected, working and extended canter. He needs more work on those. I decided that on weekends I will work him twice a day, so he can build stamina, but during the week he deserves a break and I don't always have time. His days off are on wednesdays.
