Subject: Losing my hair after baby- what hairstyle can help hide it?

I just had my 5th child, my 2nd in 1 and 1/2 years and my hair is falling out by the handfull! I have always had fine hair, but it was wavy and still looked pretty good if I kept it shoulder length or above. Now that my son is 4 months old, my hair is falling out like crazy. You can see my scalp through my hair above my ears, my part looks about an inch wide when I'm under bright light, and now it looks like my hairline is receeding! I know part of this is because I haven't gotten a haircut in three years and spend almost every day with my hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. I am getting my hair cut (finally!) in two days and need some help with a style. I don't like it too short because unless I am wearing makeup I tend to look like a little boy. I also need hair over my forhead to cover the wrinkles that are appearing there. I used to always get some layers to bring out my curl, but most hairdressers I speak to want to do it one-length to make it look thicker. The only problem with one-length is that it only seems to look good when I blow-dry my hair and with 2 babies I seldom have the time to do that. Any help you could give me (preferably before Tuesday at 2:00pm!) would be most appreciated!!!!!! I also have another question. In your experience, does Minoxidil help for someone like me? I went to the dermatologist to ask about my hair and she told me she didn't think it was that bad. Well, too me, it IS that bad. I do know that it's supposed to take about 4 months to see results and I don't have all that money to spend if I'm just going to be throwing it away. Thank you so much for any help you can give me. This situation is extremely emotionally hard on me, even though it's not like it's going to kill me or anything. Just make me cry!
