This message is to Rich. I read a posting from a woman who was very excited about her new "do". Maybe you can help me.
I am in my mid 20's, I have long dark brown hair, all one length, including my bangs ,and extends past my behind.(I've always resembled Whinny from the show Wonder Years) My hair is thin and straight as a board with absolutely no body, it is very healthy and shiney, allthought somewhat oily if not washed every day. I am finally ready for a big change. I want to cut about 10 inches (to donate to locks for love) and I also want to go darker. I am looking for a jagged edge cut (not flush edges). So...I think I want a chest level jagged type haircut and have it dyed black or just a darker brown with redish/purple highlights. I have pale skin and dark brown eyes and brows. Every stylist I have been to says that if I ever went shorter and kept this same style it would just end up looking stringy and not at all "different". My hair has never been dyed or permed! I see styles I like on t.v. but I do not know how to look for the right stylist, someone I can trust. What do you think about that kind of style for me? Would you recommend any other style instead? Where I should go? Thanks, Tasha
