Subject: The next BIG fall har style trend

From my personal (and private) hollywood hairdressers community network:

Hollywood hair dressers are BORED with mainstream hair fashions particularly last years why-not-just-cut-it-yourself lack of talent hair fashions (read: lack of available glamour and talent here) and are (finally) aiming to take a leading role in starting hair fashion trends (not following) once again. This time they may be successful because the appeal is almost universal.

The one stra-a-a-ight length long and layered (razored) hair is OUT! The long shags, shattered bobs and distressed hair look is OUT! (sorry Sally Hershberger, but you did have an amazing 9 year run) It may take kicking and screaming to get it done but the casual FLIP's days are numbered as well. The look is deemed by many of my fellow stylists friends as too passe'. The new mullety shags and faux hawks of the EU are too... well EU and the only American trend setter to emerge is Kelly Osborn. (but keep your eye on Kelly because according to the junior set she has the EYE) and has a very influential edge these days on what is actually IN in CA.

So what's IN?

Fanfare~~~~~~~~~~~

If their actually is a next BIG trend for fall it's this:

Length goes just above the shoulders (just in time for the big faux fur collars of winter) and (are you ready for this?) with big bouncy CURLS.

No doubt you will be seeing more and more of this look as it is an immediately copy-able style. (my own word) Furthermore there is a lot of long hair out there ready to be cut and curled for overnight revelations.

It will be interesting to watch how many celebrities get caught up in the new look as Hollywood (tries) one more time to make a return to its' glamourous roots. Who's next in line on Hollywoods celebrity latest trend?

Rumors are next on the list is FOX's Jillian Barbieri and mega-star Jennifer Aniston. (but will she actually enjoy reclaiming her title of of the most copy-able hairstyle this time?) Stay tuned!

I say this kind oif change is a good thing.
