First take the face shape test to see if you really do hve a round face. Diamond and round shaped faces are the rarest of all, so double check. A round face is a full-looking face with a round chin and a rounded (arched)hairline. The widest point is at the cheeks and ears.
Try:
Hairstyles that add fullness and height at the back of your crown. Use off center parts. Short hairstyles with a swept-back direction or hairstyles that are at least longer than chin length. By layering the top to achieve fullness and keeping the rest of the cut relatively close to the face, your face shape will appear longer and narrower.

Avoid:
Chin length hair with a rounded line that mirrors face’s circular shape. Center parts. Short-short crops without face framing details, wisps, etc... Don't cut your bangs straight acroos your face. Instead use a side swept slash of bangs, notch them or have your stylist texturize with thinning shears or razor. Don't add fullness at side of ears. The widest part of this face is at the cheeks and ears, you need to avoid having the fullness of the cut here as it will make your face appear wider. A rounded haircut that terminates the hanging length at your chin will add the illusion of pudginess to your face shape.

Here are some better known celebrities with round faces from whom you could take a few styling cues:

Ingrid Bergman
Roseanne Barr
Kate Winslet
Natalie Merchant
Drew Barrymore
Christina Ricci
Charlotte Church
