Um it depends on how easy it is for aliens to get here; if it takes five minutes to go fifty light years, why not go home instead of hanging out on mars? If it takes two months or years for the aliens to get here...they would probably NEED a place to relaxe besides their spaceships(you know? spacesickness, claustrophobia, etc)
