The Twilight Herd

\/If you head north towards where the bitter winds chill your blood you might stumble across a darkened path. Follow it, see where it leads you...you will find that you have stumbled apon a herd that dwells in the darkness but whose hearts follow the light. The lead stallion stands tall, but he has had a hard past...only those who reside here will know it...His dark orbs search the dark trees watching, waiting. Turning, he gallops wildly through the trees, his massive size seems not to matter. You try to keep up, though your muscles are aching he seems not to tire. Finally he skids to an abrupt halt atop a large hill overlooking a clearing. The moon shines brightly though the sun is still setting, you see why these lands are called the Twilight Lands. Throwing up his shoulders, deep hooves scrape the moon as silk muzzle touches the stars. He emits a loud whinny, it echos through the lands, but only reaches those ears willing to listen. Will you be one of the few? \/

Lead Stallion : The Mage Storm - Let darkness prevail...

Castes:

Protectors: Sin - Lead protector
Scouts: Along with Mage, finds new members to join.
Peace-keepers: Keeps peace within the herd, also needs to be able to keep a firm grasp on Lobo.
Foal-sitters: Watches over foals when the mother is not there.

Be warned, in this territory lives a mongrol by the name of Lobo. He is pretty harmless, but not quite right in the head. Foal sitters will need to keep a close watch on the foals, keep him away. Protectors also need to make sure he remembers his place, along with the peace-keepers. He is pretty harmless but does sometimes loes control.

\/The watcher, the protector, the mage. He watches, waiting, listening, seeing. Everything around him quivers as he takes a shuddering step forth, but strangely not a twig cracks beneath massive hooves, borne and raised in the quiet solitude of the forest. Lonely orbs rest apon each tree in turn, dark forelock concealing white stripe creasing his forehead. Ebon tail lashes across his silken flanks, clashing perfectly, dark and light, evil and good, sinister and pure. Great breath fills his lungs as he brings in the scent of dew that lay resting on each branch, and leaf. He wonders, how long would the silence be unbroken? Picking his way towards the river he stops at the edge and watches the crystal waters trickle by, his reflection broken by the bubling current. Placing one hoof into the stream he bends his powerful neck, muzzle grazing the surface, the cool water rushing through him. He sighs, wishing to share the beauty of his home with someone...\/

Pearl hide glistened, silvery rays swimming about lovingly chiseled contours. New presences within the territory pushed tipping scale harshly towards unease, wariness settling down. Flinty hooves tripped to and fro, slender legs carrying flighty femmina in restless dance of waiting. Once more, her lonesome voice rose in soft harmonies of helplessness::~

+++A frothy saliva drips down the mongrols muzzle as he paces about the territory, wicked little eyes rolling back in his head. Ashen paws bound restlessly towards the two equines currently in the territory. Devilish cackle escapes his parched throat as he pads up to Mage.+++

Aye Magey? Finding new members to join you herd? More meat for Lobo eh? Horse meat is good, not nearly as good as hippo though...mmmmm! Lobo takes down hippos himself, you should try!
