Subject: Only one Bill Walsh

I think the Niners will continue to flail as long as they keep trying to find the next Bill Walsh. Lets face it, Walsh was a visionary in his time and was way ahead of the competition. Its why he made them all look silly. The league wised up and cloned his offense and stole our coaches and now the west coast offense is getting stale. So why bring in a disciple to run an offense that is no longer ahead of its time? How about bringing in someone that has an understanding of the game as it sits today and addresses the niners true weakness, defense. It wasn't the offense that let the Giants score 38 points like they were playing through a practice squad. The toughest part for the Niners now is to convince Bill Walsh that he needs to advise York to find the best coach and not some suck butt who will tell him how great he was in the 80's (Dennis Green). If the Niners had their act truly together they would have axed Mariucci earlier in the year and hired the best coach that was available, Bill Parcells. But Parcells doesn't kiss ass and quite frankly kicked Walsh's booty a couple of times so that would never happen. Walsh's ego would have prevented it. Now we get to wait to see the teams next direction. Hopefully our next coach will have a good football mind with balls and if management truly wants success they need to let him be his own man and win games, regardless of his past affiliations. I wonder if Parcells would reconsider.
