Subject: complacent Niners miss the mark

There is a cancer in San Francisco. A once mighty Francise becoming a laughing stock. A management team that is divided, complacant and egotiscal. The real question is not wheather marruci should of been fired, but rather how he was fired that says volumes about how this organization is being run. The bottom line is that the organization has become too layed back and can't seem to make the quick decisions that need to be made. It all started with last years draft. Did the Niners get aggressive and try to find a second Wide out or pass rusher that was so despertly needed? Remember the company line? We will just sit back and draft some second and third stringers. It turned out that the niner draft was, well... ordinary. It seems that the Forty Niners is under the ghost of Xmas passed, Bill Walsh. By the way can you name any other team in the NFL who has an in house consultant? Whoever is going to coach this team is going to have to live under the shadow of Bill who has and will continue to be in the background saying, well son when I was playing in the big game we did it this way. What happened when Mooch was fired. Hard to say but if York made the decision that Mooch was not the coach to take this team to the next level then why was the decision not made a year ago when the Niners could of received compensation. Instead Al Davis got the last laugh on the Niners. But then Al Davis of course is not going to sit back and be complacent. If on the other hand we are to believe that performance was not an issue in Marruccis firing, that York just got mad and fired him than we have a whole new set of problems. If thats the case than York is doing his best Jerry Jones impersonation. Remember when Jerry once said that there are a 100 coaches that can coach the cowboys? Jerry after so many losing seasons is singing a different tune now. I fear that maybe thats a lesson that York may have to learn. Lets hope we don't see John getting a face lift anytime soon. It seems that Walsh,Donahue, and York have there own agendas and are not on the same page I mean who is really going to hire this coach anyway. Walsh, Donahue, and York are all saying different things when asked who the canidates are. And what is this malarky about it was not performance that got Mooch fired it was philosical differences???? Is the job title coach or Philosphy professor. It does not look like winning is at the top of Yorks short list. The biggest mystery in the Bay Area right now is what or who is at the top of Yorks list. Apparently the future of the Fighting Irish is higher on Johns list then the 49ers winning, since he won't hire a very successful college coach since it would disrupt the college and the training of young men. Who is the best candidate to replace Mooch. I think you go after the best coach available. The Tuna is already taken. That leaves Holgren and Dennis Green. Yes I know what your saying about Green. Can't win the big one, can't get along with Randy Moss ect. But remember he took a underachieving Vikings team to the playoffs 8 out of ten years thats pretty amazing. More importantly he knows the Niners and he can get along with Bill Walsh no easy task. As far as Holgren goes don't tell me that he is under contract. He wants to come to San Francisco and Seattle is not all that pleased with him. A contract did not stop Tampa from getting Gruden. But that would take an aggessive organization whos leadership is on the same page, can make quick decisions, and wants to win. As Bill Walsh would say, Son I remember the days when the Forty Niners where that kind of organization.
