Thanks for your posting. I agree on a lot of things you wrote. I can't really understand why Mariucci completely forgot about T.O.
I listen to the 49ers games on the radio, so i can't be sure if he was always so covered by Cowboys secondary as reporters wrote in their articles. Anyway, he is not the only receiver on the field. Mariucci insisted so much on the run when it was very clear that yesterday wasn't the right day. I think Garcia is a good quarterback, i think he demostratated he can throw the ball, so let him do it. After the game Garcia criticized Mariucci again saying the team waited too much to open up the game plan. Too few, too late.
I think Mariucci is a good coach generally speaking, he just isnt a good play caller, he needs an offensive coordinator doing this job for him.
Mariucci is a very good coach in managing young players, but he is a sub-par coach on game day.
You know, maybe yesterday was one of these days, too many things went wrong. Derek Smith and the defense in general missed alot of tackles. Plummer was out of the game at the beginning and he was sorely missed. The coaches missed to challenge a couple calls. Carter, withouot any pressure for all day, looked a better QB than what Aikman was, and so on.
Now i just hope the team will rebound strong against the Saints to build up some momentum for the game in Green Bay.
