Subject: 2001 season in my words

The 2001 season was a joy for me, I have been a niner fan since i was 10 years old so a total of 18 years, and the past two seasons were devistaing to watch, and when the winning started this year it took me back to when a 12-4 record was an off year, but the things I was unhappy about was getting rid of Rice he proved he still has plenty of years left and is a elite reciver still at age 39, I said on this very site that getting rid of him was a mistake, I did not like the way he was phazed out of the offence the past two years and making his stats look worse than they really were, its clear to see we could have used him this year he put up better stats than out 2 and 3 recievers did combined, I also thought the niners played very shakey against the rams, it was like they turned back to the 99 niners when they played them and i could not understand why they played two horriable games against them and them only, I was happy with the way mora turned this defence around, I ripped mora all year on this site and i regret it now he has done a great job and should ony get better next season, I was happy with thier play in the playoffs I really thought they hung in there and played like champs and like a team that has been there before instead of like a young team usually in big games they looked jittery and unsure but in this game that was not the case, I was happy with the play of the team when thier backs were against the wall when in trouble they never gave up and fought till the end and pulled out some wins when i thought for sure they were going to lose, I think with a soild draft the core of the team back(hearst,shulters,newberry,ect) and for mooch and t.o. to call a truse and get along this team will compete for the super bowl next year.
