Subject: Skip Bayless' comments about the niners

Skip Bayless has to think about what he's writing, the 49ers aren't getting closer to the Rams because:
1) Marshall Faulk, the NFL's best back, is better than Hearst; 2) Kurt Warner is a better, more accurate big-game quarterback than Jeff Garcia; 3) the Rams' receivers are collectively better than the 49ers'; and 4) the Rams' defense played smarter and harder in the second game.

1) If Faulk is the best back in the NFL, of cause he's better than Hearst. But how are the niners supposed to even it up. Draft Green or Duckett, they wont be anywhere near as good as Faulk. Trade for a James or a Williams. With what?? The 49ers salary cap couldn't hold them. And what are we going to trade for them? Draft pick that in his opinion should have been used to pick up a WR or a RB??
2)Warner is a big game QB? Was I the only one that saw him choke in the Super Bowl????? Give me Garcia over Warner any day!
3)Agreed. But the niners have taken huge steps to narrow the gap by drafting a great nickel CB (who wouldn't be around at pick 37) and Parrish
4)That was last season

He says the niners need another big time WR. True. But June 1st is coming up. He also says that the niners need to match the Rams offensive power. How is getting a WR like Issac Bruce, a RB like Edgerrin James, and a QB like Payton Manning going to help stop the Rams offense????? I would think that getting a CB like Rumph, a S like Parrish and a young Defense that is improving would be the best way to stop their offense!
