Subject: selfbows by myself

I can relate to any and all who are having trouble making there own bows. Time is our biggest enemy. Our ancestors(I'm Cherokee) had all day long and many people around for help with the process. I too am amazed at the prices of some of the traditional and native bows on the net. I have had some success with my bows and after four attempts, have one that is quite respectable, looks good, 65# pull, and after well over a hundred shots, shows no sign of breaking.....Knock on wood!
I would however like to buy a cherokee long bow or plains flat bow if the price is right. Please let me know if anyone has one to sell. Also, are there any novices out there in the Chattanooga,TN. area that would like to get together and compare notes, skills, ideas? you help me with my bows and I'll teach you to work flint and make your own arrows.
I really look forward to hearing from anyone on this topic. Until I got on the internet, I thought there were very few people interested in this stuff and i'm so glad to see that there is a real following.........J
