His eyes find her quickly and he summons his courage to enter the herd. Hopefully this will not turn out to be a battle for blood. He didn't feel like fighting right now. He had nothing to defend anymore so what would be the point.

He lopes up beside the mare and bowes his head. *Image? I am Spawn. You've probably heard of me. I must ask you some important questions. Please only answer if you feel comfortable in doing so. I do not wish to anger any more people right now.* He takes a deep breath and holds her gaze. *How is Buffy? I mean, is she happy? I want her to be. And could you tell her that I send her my love? I'm thinking of leaving into battle, and I don't know if....when I'll come back. *His eyes search in hopes that she will see how important this is to him.

He sigh's,*I must leave now, but please, think about telling Buffy for me.* He bowes his head again and turns. He will leave again. Maybe he'll come back to see Buffy again....if he comes home from battle.....
