Im going to glorious Rhode Island for law school. For the uninitiated, Rhode Island is the smallest state in the entire United States of America (or "The Land of Opportunity" as I prefer to call this land that I love). It also has proportionately more coastal areas than any other state, as its right next to the Atlantic Ocean. I planned on detailing my exploits in "The Ocean State" in an official Nigel Fan Site update, but I never really got motivated enough. Sincere apologies for this gaping hole in Nigel-related information.

As for the law school itself, I think its one of the smallest in the country, and its also one of the newest American Bar Association (ABA) approved schools. If your law school is NOT ABA-approved, you may as well quit. Its pretty important to have, or else you very well may never be a lawyer (all those wasted years...).

Now...I applied to 9 schools, and 7 of them said "No, Mr Meyer. Fuck off" so I figured that any school who would except me would be crap. NOT SO! Roger Williams University has a fine law program. A scant 56.9% of the applicants were accepted to this prestigious private university...among them was your hero and mine "NIGEL" (quote, unquote)! Thats a pretty low percent of applicants accepted. I was REJECTED from places that accept 80% of the people...so I dont know...its kind of dodgy. I just didnt have any damn letters of recommendation (which Roger Williams didnt ask for) so that was the reason I was rejected so much I think. Thats a story for another day though.

According to http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad02/dir-law/glanc_03180.htm (that link may not work, in which case just figure it out by erasing some of the URL from the back and trying again...if you follow, that sounded kind of perverse) they specialize in appellate advocacy, clinical training, dispute resolution, environmental law, health law, intellectual property law, international law, tax law, AND trial advocacy. Great! International law seems hip, but I dont know what that is. Ill have to look into it to see if its something that would pisque my interest, and if its even actually available.

I dont even remember what I got on my LSAT. Thats odd. I just took it like 2 years ago. I recall that I got a 900 on my SAT which I took about 6 years ago (520 verbal, 380 math). I think it was a 145 on my LSAT...though I could be wrong. It was pretty damn low, though. In the bottom 30% as I recall.

http://law.rwu.edu if youre so interested, but I havent even really looked at that site. Anyway, Ill try to get internet access as soon as I get things set up there so I can continue to enlighten the masses about such crucial issues as missile defense and Jonathan Chitty's band (which I believe has disbanded since I first wrote that)
