Subject: Charter Communications (CHTR)

Retired, over 34-years computer and communications experience. Have firm conviction that the future of "broadband" is with cable systems.

Rationals as follows:

1) Interference: Fiber Optics does not produce nor is effected by "electronic / magnetic" emamations (noise) as does "copper" and "wireless."

2) Security: Same as interference. Additionally, Fiber Optics Cable is most secure. Secure computer systems (military and civilian) require "Tempest Shield" facilities (internally shielded) and fiber optics communications thru such shields (no copper or wireless allowed.)

3) Solar Flare Activity: The earth is entering the first year of it's 11-year cycle of solar flare activity. This is the process whereas solar flares blanket the earth with "magnetic storms" disrupting not only non-shielded electronic systems, electric grids can be disrupted .. "electric grid switches tripped, etc. These magnetic storms have no effect(s) on fiber optic based systems.

4) Fiber optic systems can carry the "broadband load" both ways (interactive.)

I belive Paul Allen has the correct vision and is executing the correct future of broadband. i.e., All of Charter cable is being upgraded to fiber optics (and laying double the fiber for future capabilities.)

Think Charter needs some "Media Support."
