Todd Ernst, Aerospace and Defense analyst at Prudential Securities was on Bloomberg TV today, commenting on defense stocks.

Stock picks on the basis of best outlook for consistency in earnings:

GD: ship building business; strong buy recommendation.

BA: accumulate rating; likes the co for its commercial aircraft business; longer term strategy to get in growth oriented businesses like the recent acquisition of the satellite division of GMH.

MRCY: strong buy recommendation; stock up 150% last year; co able to successfully leverage their core tech business to enter new markets like wireless
