Subject: Strathford from MMAM and THE SLEEPING BEAUTY

Posted by Jackie on August 02, 2001 at 20:49:39 at TRJ Booksboard:

Hello! Thanks for you interest, those of you who emailed me privately and posted messages on the board. I DO have a september release from Harlequin Historicals called THE SLEEPING BEAUTY. It is a sequel to STRATHMERE'S BRIDE. I really love this book because it is very gothic--which you cannot tell by the cover. The book is kind of dark but by the look of the couple (very good looking and all that, but...) on the cover, you'd think it was a sweet Regency. And you know my heros are anything but sweet. This one is an unrepentent fortune hunter. He's a bit more of a good guy than he appears at first...

And about MMAM's Strathford...ah. Was I that transparant? My niece accosted me at her wedding shower, declaring Laura belonged with Colin, NOT Nicholas. I agree. I'm finishing the second book in the series (remember Julia's bratty sister, Leah--the tattletale? Well, she gets her comeuppance first)and the third will see Laura return to England a widow. And who do you think she runs into? That's right--Colin. And he hasn't forgotten her. There was no way I could leave such a deliciously despicable man without a story of his own, one who bears a remarkable resemblance, in my imagination, to BEN AFFLECK!
