Subject: Child Abuse

It was a face that I knew, someone strong
Little did I know I wasn�t the only one
He told me he loved me and not to tell
This was my own personal hell
He tells you its normal, to trust him, he cares
He gets your little hand and takes you upstairs
Your family love him and think he�s OK
But don�t know what�s happening when they are away
When it was happening I was angry and grim
And thought it was my fault but it wasn�t, it was him
When you are small and trust everyone
You never imagine it could be a con
An Uncle is family, someone to trust
But caution is something that should be a must
Your dreams become scary, you days are a chore
At six years old I was cold to the core
When you won�t sleep, your parents get mad
But you can�t tell them because they�d be sad
I have found freedom in knowing his fate
When he gets to heaven they won�t open the gate
But now I am a grown up and not so shy
I am starting all over not willing to die
Now I am older as wiser as well
It won�t happen to my children, no way in hell
