And do not be ashamed to cry, for it shows that males also have a soft side, that we are not always rough and mean. *Rubs his son's neck with his dial. Turns to his daughter, Rose.* My darling, do not be afraid. I shall return shortly. Nudges her to her dam, then turns to Flo, his first foal. Tears flow from amber orbs as he sees her staying as close as possible.* It will be nearly time for you to leave us, Flo. But please remember us. Visit us also. *Nuzzles her tenderly, gently lipping at her mane and blowing sweet breaths in her ear.* Do not forget us. *Nudges the twins to stand next to Flo and watches his lead, enchanted. At her nicker, he joins in, ducking and weaving in time with Flame, dancing to an unheard tune. Half rears and arches his neck, calling out. Slows down his dance, until he stops, standing by Flame's side, slightly weaving from side to side, then stands still, blowing a little. Nickers to the red mare and nuzzles her neck.* I love you, Flame, I always will. I must leave now. *Nickers softly and leaves her side, walking to his offspring. Looks at them with eyes of love, then nuzzles each in turn, also gently lipping at the tears flowing down their cheeks. Nickers softly to Eternity.* You are now the stallion of the herd under your mother. Be good, and I shall see you in a few days. I promise. *With tears in his own eyes, the stud turns and gallops over the dunes.*
