Entering the dream within a dream
My soul is a flock of weather balloons floating into
turbulent skies, my eyes are stained-glass windows
strangers stare into my rose-colored pupils
looking for answers to questions they never asked
the future effects the present just as much as the past
Think about it as you sunbathe at your last resort
Bowling for melanoma in the heat of anonymity
I am no one, I have no name, I sold my slogan
I traded my birthright for a pink Cadillac
they auctioned off my Crown of Thorns
They call me the King of the Gentiles, born in exile
I speak the ugly truth of a Beautiful Letdown....
