Somewhere between psychedelia & clinical depression
we're getting high while watching footage of ourselves
getting high the day before
laughing incontrollably
but tomorrow I'm going back to work
They say you only get what you give
I'll die trying to restore my reputation
if that's what it takes I'll make the sacrifice
It'd be easier to die trying than to succeed
I'm back to sqaure one, perpetual deja vu
haunted by the illusions of memory and forethought
I'd like to see how this storybook ends
Something's telling me it would start over again

Smokes a cigarette, grooms his hair in the mirror
Taking Beauty for granted like it's owed to him
His friends care but he never learned to cherish
Thinks of his past deeds and gets embarassed
A rager on the loose acts out and turns heads
but when they got him in cuffs his face turned red
pull th eplug on a body of work unpublished
If you were gonna leave you woulda already done it
Nod out in a trance, it's a wicked, perverted dance
People say, "I told you so" and "You had your chance"
Another gem picked up on your way to become a man
