Subject: Primal Attraction to Advanced Technology

Something attracts me to your essense at all times
A legend of the windfall finding solace in delicate rhyme
Addicted to random colorschemes, have to admit a lovely dream
The Generals bow before lust, they all want the Queen
No more kneeling to a concrete sculpture in City Hall
Infinite reflections lying untouched in a crystal ball
Phenomena always seems to come back and taunt science
Iron-fisted, iron willed, we still get a rush from defiance
Civil disobedience, won't be the first time we encounter it
High on marked bills, the whole infrastructure's counterfeit
Take me around a bit, I know the city lights are magnetic
Some give their souls to America Inc., how pathetic
My concept of how it should be is simple and elegant enough
Get off your asses and sacrifice something you love
Excuse me, this is just a phase the anti-poet must cope with
Praying to the Porcelain God, underweight & dope sick
Parry, joust and wield a shield that weighs a ton
A ball-and-chain carried in vain, it isn't saving anyone
My lungs grow tired and heavy from the burden of past defeat
With all the Love in the World, bet it only last a week
Poison is as poison does.
