Subject: Men & Women (Rant)

I was having a conversation with this guy. He was a Christian and he talked to me about the Bible every now and then. I don't consider myself to be a Christian but I do believe there's a God. I say I'm not Christian because I haven't been following Christ examples.
Something this person said stood out to me though.

His first wife had died and he was telling me that she was his soul-mate and that God made her for him. I thought his viewpoint was amazing. He also said that in certain ways he didn't realize how precious a gift she was until after her death. He was talking about the possibility of him loving again also.
He was saying that from now on he wouldn't take for granted the females placed in his life. I never really heard anyone speak so passionately about women before.
He related the story of Adam & Eve in the conversation.
He was referencing how people feel that Eve exclusively doomed mankind to an extent.
He was telling me that he felt Adam failed. He related it to the family structure and how the Father is at the head of the human family. I felt that he was saying that if a family falls apart the man or father is most at fault because being at the head of the family he bears the most responsibility.
It made me think of the way men treat women on a global scale and it made me feel bad. I'm not in a relationship but I still felt like a part of the problem. It made me thin about how men need to be better to the women in their immediate family and help them grow as people instead of degrading and tearing them down.
