You want truth to power, here it goes
That means you'll lose an hour of precious time
Life stinks as if it didn't choose to shower
Who's the coward is it me or you
I'm a little awkward at least I tell the truth
I'ma tell it like its never told you never know
Might spit with a magic twist
Turn ugly ducklings to centerfolds
Somethings holding me back though
I'm just not ready to let it go
Confused, don't know if the hatchets buried
Time winding down so I have to hurry
Vision is 20/20 then even that gets blurry
The match is set, the money in the pot
Have to decide whether to fight it or not
Why must I be the one causing controversy
To be honest though saying this kinda hurts me


This is just a rap not some mindless attack
We bout to have a black president? Obama's not that

How is he the first black President, his mother is white

I was watching a comedy show with Gary Owen
He was telling this joke somewhat of an omen
I was like no way, shit, oh damn
He wasn't trying to be ignorant or hateful
He mentioned we call Barack black when he's biracial
To my own race I don't wanna sound ungrateful
Don't ignore your brother I got something to say to you
Maybe deception all starts when people label you
Pac said "Even though it sounds heaven-sent
We ain't ready to have a black President"
This is another part my people might find whack
I still don't believe in voting, even if he's black
