to die a martyr?
to be a starter you gotta be willing to handle that finish
good thing about it is the world gets to replenish
its supply of leaders
X and MLK led way to Jesse Jackson theres tons of other brothers taking action
a lot of no names
but still the run the game
trying to get it as fair as it should be out there
yeah-- the real jesus has many faces its a shame that in some minds image replaces the the deeds
what they think are needs overcome whats real
listening to what you saying
son I know that you can feel
what its like be on both ends
of the steel
and still have the frame of mind to deal
wit life on a whole
very few people have real control
enough to let go and let some higher hands take it
and until you find it on your own
you aint gone make it solo
when you find it
then you'll know
why all those leaders knew they'd eventually die
just because they took that stand
look at it man
thats what makes it right
regardless of the outcome
they still went out to fight
I can only hope brothers like
you and me can be that tight
for the peoples

aint meaning to come off
bout the cause
I just took the time to recognize the pause you provided
I'm excited about recognizing another day to give thanks
another day for believing
another day to be happy you aint got nobody grieving
over your downfall
this competition is all gravey
but you know like I know
its all about family baby
so enjoy what ya got
cuz theres a lot that got less than you
