You can really tell the difference a few years of programming makes, what with the slower-moving (yet still really good), earlier Dondzila offerings of Spike Hoppin' and More Invaders! (from All Good Things) to this game, as it moves really fast, with only minor slowdown in the later levels.

A clone of the superb arcade classic of Gyruss, where you control a spaceship that spins around the screen to shoot enemies and get as far as possible through the solar system, this one has ships coming out of the "wormhole" in the middle and it's your job to shoot as many as possible, as shooting all ships in a formation (whether it's two or 10 or so) will give you a bonus of 1,000 points. Points are crucial in building up extra ships that are awarded at 20,000 and 40,000, along with the whopping tally of going up to nine if you can reach the Super Bonus of 60,000.

Also like Gyruss, bonus ships will appear that, if shot in time before they disappear, will double your firepower. However, there are two other special ships as well, one of which slows the action down for several seconds, the other will destroy everything onscreen.

The graphics are decent, and it's cool to see some vector versions of the "twin beam" ships and the indestructable asteroid (made into a Rockaroid here :) ) that appear in the arcade classic. There's no warps to planets, bonus stages or the cool music, but that's not much of a big deal though, in my opinion. Unfortunately the control is a bit off with the digital controller but it's won't hurt your score real bad.

Round off this game with a pause, being able to check your score with a press of a button and skip your score/ship count/level tally, and you have another Dondzila winner, as usual.
