What can I say that hasn't been said before ...

Space War is the original Computer game ... 1962

Computer Space is the first Video Arcade game ... 1972
I remember playing this in the Airport Terminal in Chattanooga, Tenn in the early 1970's ... it stood alone with a few pinball units about 10 yards away ... I would beg my parents to take me to the airport!

Then there was Space War for the Atari 2600 ... that worked for me in the late 1970's ... very precise but not very fast ...

But when I saw Space Wars for the Vectrex ... that brought back all the magic ... Even in 1999 at the Cincinnati video game meeting, we played it tournament style with many cheering us on! I judge a video game player by how he can maneuver a space wars ship under pressure ...

Think about it ... the ship of Space War(s) is found in Asteroids ... Star Castle and a dozen other arcade classics! Space War(s) is the basis for a whole gendre of games of this type ...

Space Wars gets a 10! Video games are about love!
