The deep crimson ruby at the base sparkles and then glows brightly with magic. He closes his eyes tightly and concentrates, sending powerful healing magic through the body riddled with pain and hunger.* Lie still, *he murmurs. The warm, golden magic slips gently through her, relaxing the tight muscles of her stomach and allowing the milk from the kind mare to fill up her belly and quench the hunger. The magic carefully and gently finds every wound and hurt and heals it gently and well. Finally, the filly is completely healed and the king falls back so he lies on his side, exausted. The stallion's glossy, bright mahogany side heaves up and down as his own health is restored.*
