Okay, the thing is this: for every time you type <font>, you must type </font>. To reiterate: you have to close every tag you open. That's the general rule of thumb for just about anything in HTML, actually. But since you changed colors **looks** can't count, but probably over a dozen times, you only cancelled out three of them at the end.

The safest thing to do is to close your font color whenever you switch to a new one. This is what I do. For NPCs or throwaway chars, I leave them in the default board color, which is white. Example:

<FONT COLOR="orange">"So, how much will you work for?</FONT>

<FONT COLOR="orange">Lorelei appeared to be thinking hard, jade-green eyes narrowed. "I can ask for any sum I want?</FONT>

[NO FONT COLOR]The bartender was wiping glasses, his back turned to the speakers. He was definitely giving each glass more attention than necessary.[NO FONT COLOR]

Then, when you're proofing, all you have to do is go back and check to make sure there's a closing tag at the end of each character's dialog/section. There are other effective ways of using multiple colors in a post, but I think this way's the safest. If anyone disagrees, I'm sure they can say something. ^^
