I look over the herd protectively. There lye Goldie and Clover, although Goldie sleeps, Clover is unaware and is whispering to her. I smile to myself before sprawling out under a tree, unable to sleep. I think quietly to myself about life. Pretty soon I won't be considered a foal any more. I'm all ready developing like a strong stallion should. I silently wonder what my future holds. There really aren't any filly's my age around here. How will I find a mate? I sigh, almost laughing at myself. I'm still young and have plenty of time, but who could blame me for being curious?
