So......u wanna get sponsered? Its pretty hard sometimes, it really depends on who u want to get sponsered by. I'm only 14 and I'm sponsered by DVS. What I did was, oh ya by the way I've been skating fer about 9 years (vert). Any way, what I did was I sent my desired sponser (dvs) a vid of me skating and doing all these tricks. Don't get upset or dissapionted if u didn't get a reply in the next 24 hours cuz these companies get thousands of videos everday. If they don't send a reply, its probably cuz they don't take unprofessional skate vids they just don't care, or u just down right suck. If thats something ur not able to do then go to a big skatepark (Vans, Volcom, Etnies), u know the skater brand ones. There will most of the time be a photographer for a company waiting to get a nice shot of some1. Try to make that some1 u and only u. If u do get the sponser then they'll send u a contract with their terms and policies, then here comes the good part: FREE MERCHNDISE!!! I get about 4 pairs of shoes a month from DVS (the last pair they sent me arent going out to the public till the summer of 08') it's pretty cool. The longer u've been with a sponser, the more they'll appreciate u, cuz I've been with DVS fer about 2 years now and my closet is full a shoes lol. It may be frustrating to get a sponser but u just have to keep trying.
